Cattle Competition
Our show offers Stud Beef and Led Steer/Heifer competitions. Young Judges and Young Paraders competitions are also held to encourage the next generation into the Beef Cattle industry. We look forward to seeing many of the participants from the Wallumbilla Cattle Camp joining us for these competitions. Horse & Equestrian
Our show caters to a wide variety of equestrian pursuits. Traditional led and ridden breed and type classes are held. Given our connections with the agricultural industry we also offer station horse led and ridden classes to ensure everyone has a chance to ride at our show. A stockman’s challenge with cattle and dry work tests the skills used daily in the local livestock industry. We love to see our young equestrians having fun in our beginners ring and in our pony club classes. Showjumpers are provided for with a variety of height classes and the ever popular six bar finale. Poultry
Our show offers a range of competitions for feathered friends including poultry, water fowl and caged birds. Sections for backyard fowl offer a chance for children to get involved. Place entries into the Poulty competition using the link to Showday Online at the top of the page.
Farm & Garden Produce
With a rich agricultural history of producing some of the finest produce in our region the Farm and Garden section offers something for all the green thumbs. Sections include grain, fruit, vegetables and farm produce such as hay, eggs and honey. We welcome exhibits that have been grown in the region over the past 12 months. Horticulture & Pot Plants
Our region is home to some magnificient gardens and talented growers. This ensures our horticultural and pot plant section are hotly contested despite the arid climate we live in. Magnificent Roses, Boganvillia and many others filled the Pavilion with colour. Place entries into the Horicultural competition using the link to Showday Online at the top of the page.
Handicrafts
Our talented sewers and those nimble with the needles fill our Pavilion with colour each year. Competitions include patchwork, dress making, knitting, crochet, embroidery, needle work and much more. Art
Art in all forms is featured at the Wallumbilla Show. Competitions are include a wide variety of art mediums, woodwork, sculpture and recycled materials. Cooking
Country cooking is alive and well in Wallumbilla with many excellent cooks and bakers part of community. The cooking section is always hotly contested. Get your entries in to ensure you have bragging rights for the next 12 months. There are classes for cakes, biscuits, cake decorating, preserves and bread. Photography
Our stunning sunsets and lovable characters of both the human and animal type ensure a divserse range of photos each year. Competition sections include flora, fauna, sunsets, people, architecture. Colouring-In
Unleash your creativity and enter the Wallumbilla Show Colouring Competition! Whether you’re in Kindy, at school, or an adult with a passion for art, there’s a category for you. Handwriting
School students are encouraged to take part in the Handwriting Competition at the Wallumbilla Show. This fun and rewarding event gives young writers the chance to practise neat penmanship, take pride in their work, and showcase their skills to the community. With sections for different age groups, it’s a great opportunity for students to challenge themselves and be part of the tradition and excitement of the Wallumbilla Show. Entries from all local schools are warmly welcomed.
